ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

In order to make BIMUN closer to reality, participants are obliged to stick to additional requirements at BIMUN.

Dress Code

A formal dress code will be strictly enforced during the conference. Business apparel is required during all sessions, the Welcome Dinner and the Closing Ceremony, meaning suits for men and business dress for women. Casual wear is suitable for all other events.

Courtesy

All delegates must show courtesy and respect for the Secretary General, Chairpersons, Committee Staff, Advisors, Special Rapporteur and fellow delegates.

Rules of Procedure

Diplomats at international conferences obey certain rules of procedure for ensuring smooth negotiation proceedings. The same applies for BIMUN.
Therefore, it is obligatory for every participant to study thoroughly the Rules of Procedure before the beginning of the conference. As a result, delegates will find it easier to negotiate their country’s position within the commission.
